Looking at siding options
Serving in the Omaha and Lincoln area, we run into siding of all types. Which is why we decided, that in order to best serve our customers we better be able to handle all types! We do Fiber Cement, Steel, Vinyl, Pressed Wood, Cedar, EIFS, Stone, and Brick. We do have our favorites of course, and when we meet with you we lay out all the options so you can be confident making the best decision for your home.
When deciding on which type to chose, most often it comes down to what your main priorities are with your home.
If you are absolutely tired of painting and do not want to have to think about getting on a ladder ever again, you will probably land on vinyl or steel siding. Manufacturers have a myriad of colors to choose from so you can be sure you will find a “permanent” look you will like.
If you are mainly concerned about durability, you likely will be looking at fiber cement, brick or stone. These products are largely hail proof…..and weedeater proof……and baseball proof!
If you value the rustic look or preservation of your homes original look, there is a good chance we will be looking at cedar. Cedar was used on almost all homes early in the 20th century all the way up until about the 80’s. In modern homes it is used mostly to achieve the “Rustic” look or, with some of the smooth products, a “Contemporary” look.
If all that sounds great, but you have a budget that says otherwise, we will probably be looking at pressed wood or vinyl. Pressed wood products have come a long way from the stuff that seems to rot away and fall off of your house, and it is often a good way to get your exterior looking sharp without breaking the bank. Modern vinyl is also much better than it’s precedent, and will give you a sharp fresh look, while still being relatively affordable.
These are just some of the things that may help get you settled on a product that best fits you needs and wants for you project. Don’t hesitate to get in touch with us, we would love to come help you with your project. Don’t see a product you’re interested in? Let us know and we’d be glad to look into it.

LP Smartside Siding
Soffit and Fascia upgrade
LP Smartside SidingThis house was a full re-side including soffit and fascia material in the Fremont area. This customer came to us already having selected this product as what they wanted. After a discussion with them to make sure that all of their questions were answered we got everything lined up. The siding that was chosen is LP's Smartside Pre-finished siding. The front of the house was done in board-and-batten style while the remaining area of the house was done with an 8" lap. The finish on this siding is called Diamond-Kote and comes with a 30 year no-fade warranty. The color that was chosen is Seal and the soffit and fascia was colored to match. New white gutters rounded out this install.

Soffit and Fascia upgradeOn this project, we upgraded the soffit and fascia material to aluminum. There were a few places that the original fascia material was starting to rot so we cut them out and replaced those. After that we covered the existing with Mastic brand aluminum soffit and fascia material. They were both color matched, the soffit to the siding and the fascia to the gutters. The soffit is a triple 4" U groove profile which you can see in the last detail image and is Mastic's almond color. The fascia material is Mastic's Royal Brown.
Glacier BlueThis siding, manufactured by Mastic, is part of their Quest Line. This is their Glacier Blue 4.5" Dutch lap. Having a thickness of .046" instead of the normal .042" gives this siding extra rigidity to help prevent waves down the length of the wall. Visit the manufactures link below to see all of the available colors and profiles!
